For most beginner traders entering the world of Forex trading it is important that they find the correct Forex training.
Each Forex trading company will claim to have something better than the other. One will scream and shout that their founder is a world famous trader and they will personally teach you the “secrets of a millionaire trader”.
Some will claim that they have taught many hundreds of people on their Forex trading course the skills they need to better their life, to retire early or buy a different Ferrari for each day of the week.
Regardless of the sales pitch you must ensure that the Forex trading course content contains at least a minimum of the following:
Information on the Forex market
- How can one expect to learn how to trade if they don’t really understand what it is they are trading? Now, you don’t need the same understanding of a first class honors economics degree, but you do need to understand why the market moves, what makes it move and how that affects what you will be doing?
Training on your charting / trading software
- Trading software can be very complicated; before you are even able to place a trade you will need training. Admittedly you can probably teach yourself but having a helping hand to show you the ‘ins and outs’ will make your learning process faster. Once you are able to use your software then most of your technical training will be taken care of and you will spend the rest of your days training your mind.
Trading analysis
- Depending on the Forex trading course you are on you will need to be given a good background in either technical analysis or fundamental analysis, preferably both to a high level. Pure ‘chartists’ or technical traders will proclaim that they don’t need to understand the boring economics, pure fundamental traders will mock the technical traders with claims that technical trading is the equivalent of reading tea leaves. Regardless of your opinion or ethics, the best traders have at least a moderate understanding in both.
Trading strategies
- Being ‘taught’ how to trade Forex without being given any guidance on how to trade is like being taught to drive from a book without being shown how to use a steering wheel. Your Forex trading course must include examples of trading strategies that are traded by the course providers, preferably those strategies and techniques will come with some evidence of their success.
Opportunity for practice in live markets
- Trading Forex is almost nothing about your technical expertise or intelligence. It is almost wholly about your personality and emotions. You can’t hone your emotions from reading books, but you can from experience and practice. You will need lots.
Forex Training from professionals
- Would a student pilot learn to fly from an un-qualified pilot? Would a trainee doctor learn from another student doctor? No, of course not. Why should you expect to learn from a trader who can’t trade? Regardless of the training you are doing, you must ensure that it is delivered by a regulated, professional company, or you have seen an undeniable proof of your mentors’ abilities.
Forex training can be delivered on line or in person, but without the minimums detailed above it will be a waste of your time and money. You simply need to ask yourself why you want to trade. If it is to make money you need to be taught by the best. This can only be done through a Forex trading course. If you want to do is a pass time and not worry about profits, you certainly should not waste your money on a Forex trading course. However, that is probably the most pointless thing you will do in your life.
Our Forex trading course is specifically designed to hold your hand and show you how to trade the markets. Our Forex training mentors have been trading successfuly for a number of years and will be with you every step of the way.
